After receiving her B.A. and M. Mus. Arts from San Jose State University, Dr. Holmes completed her D.M.A. at the Manhattan School of Music. She has received certificates from Columbia University Teachers College and the Yamaha International Music System. After studies with Louis Moyse, Carol Wincenc and Harold Bennet, she went on to win the Artists International competition. Dr. Holmes performs regularly as a soloist, and as a chamber and orchestral musician.
