A recent graduate of the Masters Program in Classical Guitar at the Mannes College of Music, Mr. Thompson joins the French-American Conservatory as the Guitar Faculty. Although now residing in New York City, Mr. Thompson grew up in Madrid, Spain, where he cultivated his interest in classical guitar, studying privately with Pablo Ortiz at the Conservatory of Madrid. Mr. Thompson also participated in master classes with David Russel, Bruce Holzman and Norbert Kraft. Mr. Thompson recently performed in Ocean City and Ventnor, New Jersey at the "Nightsoundings" Music Series and was featured as a soloist with the French-American Conservatory Orchestra. Mr. Thompson's interests span centuries of guitar music from the Renaissance to contemporary composers.
